My Dark Magician Girl and Red-Eyes Ghost rares look amazing in it! The green just accents the foiling so well and makes the artwork show just right.
I was beyond impressed with the quality and presentation of this product! I felt like I was opening a $300 item! It was luxurious and very high quality! My only complaint would be the light stand. They are all one size but cgc is smaller than Beckett so the case isnāt a tight fit! Would have also been nice if it included batteries! I definitely plan on buying more in the future!

The Science Behind the Glow
Storing the Energy
Photoluminescent materials contain special phosphorescent substances that are capable of absorbing photons (light particles) when exposed to light. These substances have a unique property: their electrons get excited and move to a higher energy state when they absorb light.
Once the light source is removed, these excited electrons don't immediately return to their normal state. Instead, they stay in their "excited" state for a period of time, effectively storing the energy they've absorbed.
Emitting the Light
Eventually, the electrons will return to their lower energy state, and when they do, they release the stored energy in the form of light. This is what causes the material to glow in the dark.
Glow in the dark luminance fades after time. Typically, the light released will be brighter immediately after charge and for the first half hour as the atoms are excited and will begin to fade gently as the atoms calm down.
Charging and Recharging
The glow isn't permanent; it will fade over time as the electrons return to their normal state. However, you can "recharge" the material by exposing it to light again.
In the case of the Phantom Ghost display, the custom light charging base uses 395nm ultraviolet LEDs to efficiently charge the glow-in-the-dark material.
It's all down to perception
How adapted your eyes are to the dark will affect the brightness of the glow that your eyes perceive. The more adapted to the dark your eyes are, the brighter the glow that you will see. In fact the glow will appear to be brightening the more adapted your eyes become!
Ambient light affects the perceived glow of photoluminescent materials as the light draws your eyes and detracts them from the darkness. Glow in the dark products are best viewed in total darkness as the eyes are allowed to adapt, perceiving a much brighter glow.

What's the point of the charging base?
Photoluminescent materials like that used in the Phantom Ghost contain special phosphorescent substances that are capable of absorbing photons (light particles) when exposed to light.
The phosphors need to absorb light to re-emit light and some light is better absorbed than others. The light charging base efficiently charges the glow-in-the-dark material meaning your case will glow brighter, and charge faster than any other charging method.
Does the charging light base come with batteries?

How is the charging light base powered?
It uses 3 AAA batteries -- no messy wires needed!
How does the charging light work? Is it safe to use?
The 395nm UV LEDs are designed to charge the glow-in-the-dark material and have had their voltage intentionally tuned and fully tested to ensure they won't cause any harm to your cards (each case is also 99.6% UV resistant).
395nm is also at the very tail end of the UV spectrum as changes to the visible light spectrum at 400 nm with purple being the shortest visible light wavelength, our eyes can see.
What's the difference between the Ghost and the Ultra?
The Ghost is made from the same high quality as our Phantom Ultras -- the only difference is that the center acrylic between the front and back of the display has been replaced to create the glow in the dark effect.
